Looking for a Formspark alternative
Formspark is priced keenly and does its job well. The question worth asking is not which is cheaper per submission, but what one missed enquiry costs you — because that is the number the cheaper option is silently gambling with.
Price per submission is the wrong axis
Submission pricing assumes the submissions arrive. For most small businesses the volume is modest and the per-submission cost is close to irrelevant, while a single lost enquiry can be worth several years of subscription.
One dental practice we picked up had forty-six enquiries typed into a field that discarded them. No pricing tier would have made a difference; nothing ever reached a backend to be counted.
What you are actually buying
With a low-cost backend you are buying delivery. With FormHam you are buying delivery plus somebody checking, every night, that the form on the page can still submit — and a person who fixes it when it cannot.
If your forms are simple, stable and you are happy testing them yourself, a cheaper backend is a perfectly sensible choice. We are the better answer when a missed enquiry is expensive and nobody has time to check.
| Low-cost form backend | FormHam | |
|---|---|---|
| Delivers what reaches it | Yes | Yes |
| Cost at low volume | Very low | £10 per site per month |
| Tells you a form stopped working | No | Yes, nightly |
| Keeps blocked submissions for review | Usually deleted | Held, never silently destroyed |
| UK GDPR retention and DSAR tooling | Varies | Built in |
| Setup and fixing done for you | No | Yes |
An honest summary: we cost more per month and are worth it precisely when an enquiry is worth more than the difference.
